Position Summary:

SiriusXM is looking for an intern to work with the automotive partnerships team who works to promote SiriusXM to owners of previously owned vehicles with inactive satellite radios through new and existing partnerships. The team is responsible for assisting in implementing various marketing programs across affinity partnerships & the pre-owned and service lane dealership programs. This individual will report to the Manager, Automotive Partnerships to support development of marketing programs for both B2B and B2C initiatives across aforementioned channels inclusive of print, digital and social.

Automotive partnerships play a vital role in SiriusXM's subscriber growth and the position requires business insight and strategic development on every project to meet goals. The Intern will also collaborate with key stakeholders on industry events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with affinity partnership and franchise & independent dealer channels to develop and implement marketing programs that drive participation and increase subscription growth by strengthening the on-boarding experience for customers with inactive radios or buying pre-owned vehicles equipped with satellite radio.

  • Contribute to the project development and implementation for programs requiring digital marketing, print advertising, direct mail, collateral/POS, employee/dealer training, and event marketing, with contributions to strategy as well as tactical implementation.

  • Monitor and report on performance and suggest improvements and alternative approaches based on quantitative results and qualitative feedback.

  • Collaborate with other key functions in the company, including in-house creative team, legal, brand marketing, talent, CRM, automotive partnership teams and market research.

  • Maintain creative source file archives for all programs.

  • Provide status reports and analytics on a timely basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must be enrolled in a U.S. based college, university or trade school to qualify. Students who have completed at least two years of college are preferred.

  • Marketing, advertising, media or communications majors preferred.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Good project management and planning skills.

  • Good personnel management skills.

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to pay attention to details.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). PowerPoint is a must.
