Senior Director, Programming Research & Data Analysis

The Senior Director of Programming Research and Data Analysis will lead the development and analysis of qualitative and quantitative programming research and data analysis relative to listening habits across the SiriusXM platform. The finalist will collaborate across the organization to share key insights and assist with development of cross functional studies and data analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs programming listening data and research efforts to provide intelligence on current listening behaviors in an effort to assist with driving key programming decisions.
Designs, operationalizes, implements, and provides "deep dive" analysis of programming survey research and quantitative analysis of data.
Keeps programming updated on market trends in audio listening behaviors to also assist with key programming decisions.
Presents programming research insights to various levels of the organization.
Works with key programming partners to design and present key listening metrics.
Manages the direction of programming research and data endeavors both in-house and with external consultants.
Collaborates with other members of the organization on designing cross-functional studies and data analysis.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Programming Operations.
- May have supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent, relevant experience. Advanced degree in related field preferred.
10+ years of market research experience with direct experience analyzing, and reporting on data set as well as designing and presenting research studies.
Experience working in a media environment; ideally experience in audio/radio.
Experience in statistical and predictive modeling, regression analysis, and data mining preferred.
Requirements and General Skills:
Must be able to report data to groups with varying degrees of statistical knowledge.
Knowledge of methodology limitations.
Good public speaking and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Proficiency with Excel (including pivot tables), SQL, and statistical software are required.
Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
