Position Summary:

The Senior Marketing Manager works with the Director, Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) Marketing to drive the development, launch, management, and reporting for direct marketing programs/campaigns that generate new subscriptions or package upgrades from current customers. As a member of the DTC team, this role is accountable for program/campaign strategy, execution and associated sales goals. Improving key metrics, i.e. response rate, call center agent conversion rate and gross conversion rate (with vendor management team) is a constant team objective.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support development, launch, management, and reporting for existing customer marketing campaigns/programs in order to achieve activation and upsell goals.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as brand, programming, media, campaign services, creative services, call center vendor management, digital experience and marketing operations teams to produce effective communications, relevant messaging, targeted lists, worthwhile tests, and successful sales strategies.

  • Understand the different customer segments within programs and campaigns and their behavior. Accurately identify these segments for list creation and specific communication touches. Analyze and interpret response/yield results in order to recommend new approaches to generate additional sales.

  • Project/program manage by creating/owning a milestone timeline for deliverables, matrix managing stakeholders to support the project/program as needed, reach milestones, and deliver as expected or, explain risks/new developments as they come up.

  • Maintain records and utilization of campaign/program components such as Inbound Scripts, Toll Free Numbers (TFNs), Offer Version IDs (OVID), and URLs.

  • Track and report performance metrics (response, conversion rates, sales, expenses, CPGA, etc.) as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • Manage marketing processes/duties with internal partners and the external email services vendor to ensure timely and accurate execution. Processes include email creative updates/draft rounds, approvals, coding, and quality check as well as inbound scripts and online treatment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent, relevant experience.

  • 6-8 years of experience in a similar role in direct response marketing or campaign marketing strongly preferred (e.g. email marketing, digital marketing).

  • Experience in a subscriber services business model (such as wireless, internet services, entertainment, satellite television, cable services or mobile services) is desired.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Direct response marketing experience including email and digital.

  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.

  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.

  • Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.

  • Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.

  • Creative writing ability.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to learn new systems/processes as business needs require.
