Position Summary:

SiriusXM is seeking a Director, Streaming Business Development and Partner Acquisitions to build its streaming subscriber business via partners. The Director is expected to collaborate with internal and external key stakeholders to successfully position SiriusXM as a leading audio streaming entertainment service provider and help SiriusXM reach a larger audience through strategic partnerships and manage the acquisitions initiatives through their platforms. This person will be responsible for driving significant growth in new subscriber acquisitions. This person will support the building of marketing and distribution partnerships across companies within streaming entertainment services, consumer electronics, telecommunications and technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with SVP, Streaming Subscriber Acquisitions, VP of Streaming Acquisitions and other senior leaders to develop the go-to-market plan for SiriusXM's streaming product; this group will own partner subscriber acquisition metrics.

  • Build a "book of business" and cultivate strong relationships with companies which are partnership targets across the industry.

  • Bring strong device, product, and platform experience in the streaming space to negotiate, support and structure the deals that are optimal for SiriusXM and its acquisition goals.

  • Evaluate and participate in crafting the tiered partner strategy, prioritization, and manage the deal pipeline.

  • Assist, identify and lead partnership structures; craft business plans and create proposals to present to senior leadership.

  • In conjunction with legal counsel, finance, SVP and CMO, negotiate terms and conditions of partnership agreements and successfully secure partnerships.

  • Participate and work closely with the programming and streaming product teams to help develop and prioritize content and feature improvements that will appeal to a broad set of audiences and use cases.

  • Collaborate on performance marketing strategies and initiatives including paid media and home page / digital flow optimizations.

  • Lead partner marketing, merchandizing, compliance and escalations and collaborate on funnel metrics for optimal conversions across each partnership.

  • Work alongside direct marketing, brand, pricing, promotion teams to assist and influence streaming gold standards.

  • Collaborate with leaders in marketing, programming, product, IT, OEM / dealers, aftermarket, SXM Canada on business strategies and distribution opportunities.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role may supervise 2-3 direct reports in the future.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience. MBA preferred.

  • 8-10 years of experience in the financial industry or content distribution partnerships and streaming product development; 3+ with streaming and/or connected device companies.

  • Combination of business development, marketing and product experience with a digital streaming subscription product required.

  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of streaming landscape and best practices.

  • Expertise in the app and/or the connected device space required.

  • Proven track record in meeting goals, owning product and programs, working in high intensity and start-up setting with and entrepreneurial ability to identify, target, nurture and grow relationships to partnerships.

  • Must possess a strong understanding of subscription based business models and be able to identify synergistic opportunities in the market.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Understanding of streaming product architecture.

  • Ability to utilize data and analytical tools to optimize content distribution strategies and improve subscriber acquisition metrics.
